Woodbury Resort Trip

Ok this is an important post so I hope ya'll read it.
Erin and Jason
Mike and Ashley
Jason and Shannon
Shauna and Daron
Kev and Ash
Last summer while I was out in BC for a wedding (at this location) it occured to me that it would be a good idea to take advantage of some cheap rates of cabin rentals at woodbury resort. So I booked a cabin. Then as the fall/winter progressed I realized that one cabin wouldn't accomedate all those interested and rented two cabins. Ironically enough this trip actually works out to be cheaper than camping! So I wanted to give you all the details so you can make a good decision.

Woodbury at a glance:
Woodbury is a fishing resort in between Kaslo and Nelson Bc. aka hippie country. It's a member resort so nearly all the people there, live there for the summer (my family did growing up). It gets pretty hot there (comparable to Okanogan) and it's directly on Kootney lake. The resort is 2 km from Ainsworth hot springs.
Woodbury has a pub/resturaunt on the property, rec hall, outdoor heated pool, store, beach, creek, boat rentals, fire pits, and anything and everything to do with fishing. One of the big pulls to the area is golf. With over 10 golfcourses in the area, and quading. There is also a bunch of mine stuff and spelunking and caves. Kaslo is near by with a bunch of funky hippie stores resturaunts and stuff (similar to salt spring island) Nelson is an hour away with malls, movie theatre, typical city stuff.
The Cabins:
So two cabins are rented. First cabin is largest log cabin at woodbury. My fam used to stay in it. The other cabin is just a bit smaller, but both have there own advantages. First off you should know they aren't like five star time share cabins ok. They are very simple A-frames but so much sweeter than camping. Big Cabin has an upstairs bedroom loft style with stairs going down to a big living room with coaches and a tv. One coach is a double sized hidebed. The kitchen, dining area and bathroom are all downstairs. I thought it might be a good idea to give Shauna and Daron the upstairs bed room and share the down stairs bed with shan. Giving Kev and air matress (big living room) and Weenz can sleep on the deck? :) Or inside on another air matress.
In the other cabin the upstairs bedroom is kinda small but nice and secluded with a balcony. The bathroom is upstairs and then downstairs is the kitchen, dining room and living room, tv etc. with a double sized hidebed. I thought it might be good if Erin and Jay and Mike and Ash shared this one. The cabins are both pretty cool but pretty tiny. They come with bedding, appliances, towels, etc. We just need to supply the food.

The Breakdown.
10 people
Total Cost for 2 cabins 5 days- $750
Breakdown price is $75/person for entire trip.
$150/ couple.
Total Cost for 2 cabins 7 days- $1050
Breakdown price is $105/person for entire trip.
$210/couple.

Then there is food. I thought instead of filling the fridges with all individual food it would work better to each take one day and buy and bring food for the group. Five days, five couples.
I've currently booked it for five days in July, I forgot to write down the dates but I booked it in between S&D fam reunion and street machine weekend. So if someone could get back to me about those dates, that would be awesome.
So it's on a credit card so if you are interested you need to rsvp by Jan 1st by paying your chunk, refunds can happen and you can cancel if something super pressing happens but you need to do it by June 1st so we don't get stuck with the bill.
Ok. So let me know whatcha think
