I am about to head to work at cp. I like my job, there are occasional frustrations, crazy, demanding christians, and the occasional "shame on you" comments from conservative fundies. But there are also perks, quiet nights sitting at the cafe, good friends and co-workers and lots of food and sweets. But a couple days ago I took on a new job at cp. And I have no idea what it entails and what I am supposed to be doing. The other day I just sat behind a desk and waited for someone to show up and tell me what to do. My boss is away so i can't ask her, and yet I don't want to ask her anyway because it seems silly I would be confused. I got a raise and apparently lots more responsibility but I am more confused than ever. I feel like George Kastanza heading to the workforce, and that's where you will find me probably wandering the store, or sitting behind the desk. Ps, it's my birthday... 24 today

So I have been thinking that we need some quality inflatables for our trip. Recently my mom brought up my old beach balls/kiddie pool (not sure why I need it, but it seems there was no where else for it to go). I've been looking into some mats and I bought a floatable cooler. But as I was searching I came across these crazy floats... ps I am not going to buy them my latex budget is maxed (hehehe). Rate which float of fun you think is coolest:
Will it be
Quacky the giant duck

wheel of wonder (the most uncomfortable of all floats)

Kid Wash (the floatable shower)

Canada's finest (inflatable igloo)

Tipsy the giant see saw

ashley still a little light headed from blowing up beach toys

The Bridesmaid Dresses

Hey, this is Kevin. Ashley asked me to post some photographs for her while she's at work. Here are two photos of Shannon modelling the bridesmaid dress, so now you can see how it's going to look. The only differences between the dress in the photo and the finished product are that the orange ribbon will be about 3/4 of an inch less wide and the ribbon's tails will be an equal length.

Thanks Shannon for modelling.

Woodbury Stuff
Hey guys, so just reminding you to take off time from work. July 19-24
and I have some questions for ya'll.
How should we get there? It's been established that Shauna and Daron will meet us there, and that Mike and Ashley need to take their own car because they are leaving to the coast after, but i was wondering about the rest of us. Should we car pool? I was thinking maybe on Tuseday night (late) we could head down to Lethbridge and spend the night there and all leave together in the morning. You need to head south anyway via the crownest pass and it would cut some time off our trip the next. It will probably take us eight hours (or less depending who is driving). We need to take the ferry from kootney bay to balfour but the ferry is free for all passengers and vehicles (yea!!) So tell me your thoughts on this. Also it was mentioned that we could just buy our groceries when we get there at Kaslo (20 min from Woodbury) instead of taking them with us (what do you think?) Also it would be awesome if we could find out if we could get our hands on a boat. We don't need a boat but a boat would make it cooler. Boat rentals are pricy. There is a place by the ferry that will deliver the boat and pick it up and liscense you on the spot but is also pricy. Woodbury has boats but they are bigger than the average speed boat. I'm guessing they have rentals in Salmon Arm but I am not sure their price. Anyway if we could do some investigating on this that would be awesome. Another question is how are the cabins going to be divied up. One cabin holds four people (others could be added with air mattresses) and the other holds six (others could be added with air mattresses) Some suggested marrieds together, some suggested boys and girls. Its up to you.
Anyway here is a brief list on stuff you might want to bring for the trip"
hatchet
matches
sunscreen
bugspray
umbrella (i hope we don't use it)
floatation devices (blow up matresses etc)
swim suit
extra towels
books
alchohol
golf clubs (for those that golf) tons of courses around woodbury
fishing stuff (hardcore fishing resort)
cameras
and whatever else you think you migh need.
Full kitchen is provided as well as towels and bedding

Other things you might want to spend money when we get there:
quading trails and rentals
spelunking
hot springs
shopping (kaslo and nelson)
golfing

Anyway post your feedback K

Some Ramblings...

Just got back from the zoo with babies and girls. Forgot how friggin scary Austrailia at night is, they have now made it scarier by only opening the door every 2 minutes and then sandwiching the people that enter every 2 minutes into a pitch black room with bats, heart beat rythym music and a video screen. It was enough just to keep me from crying, fussing not to mention the babies. Once the 2 minute video that would freak out alfred hitchcock is over the door slowly opens and you follow the tiny lights towards the nocturnal animals. Tiny red eyes staring at you from behind the glass, creeping in the shadows as you the reflection of the shiny skin of a python slithers past...
3 reasons you should go to the zoo:
to see a peacock wandering out of the zoo with a coke can in its mouth
to see a hippo snort snot at a child for getting to close to him
to sit in the butterfly exhibit and have hundreds of butterflies swarming around you(while forgetting about the thousands of caterpillars also in the exhibit)
3 reasons you should not go to the zoo:
to see anything small and creepy in the dark
to sweat out all of your toxins in the rain forest exhibit
to purposely sneak into the dinosaur park and get locked in the zoo at night... well that one is still up for debate
exhausted and more pink than tanned
